Credo Reference
Have you ever tried Credo Reference? It’s a reference collection at your fingertips with encyclopedias, dictionaries, biographies, quotations, bilingual dictionaries, and measurement conversions.
You can find Credo Reference by the “Search our Databases” link, then click on the “Dictionaries / Encyclopedias” link, or choose Credo Reference from the complete A – Z list of databases.
Credo will give you authoritative definitions of various terms or concepts for your class projects, like “corporate governance” for business, or “asthenia” in allied health. Or you can look up a famous person and get a bio, like Peter Drucker, the management guru.
One neat feature of Credo Reference is the Concept Map. Available on the top menu bar, you can put in a term and Credo will create a map of similar and related concepts. If you mouse over the results, you can go right to various articles. It is a great way to visualize knowledge and find other relevant results.
